CoCo Lee, a popular singer from Hong Kong known for her performances at the Oscars and great worldwide music career, passed away on Wednesday. Lee attempted suicide on Sunday and was taken to the hospital as per her family said . They claimed that attempts to rouse Lee from a coma after her arrival at the hospital were unsuccessful. She was 48 years old. According to Lee’s sisters, this year marks the 30th anniversary of her singing career. The singer’s sisters, Nancy and Carol, confirmed her passing on Instagram in a post that described the singer’s prolonged battle with mental illness. According to the sisters, Lee’s mental health had “dramatically deteriorated over the last few months.”
